Ring in the new year on the dancefloor! For Raks El Sana, Disco Arabesquo, the Amsterdam-based Egyptian selector and sonic archivist, takes over CJC for a night that bridges eras: Egyptian disco, boogie and proto-jeel gems, nostalgic 90s and 00s favourites and fresh club edits of the songs we grew up on, all dug out of crates most people forgot existed. The countdown happens to the sound of records that already lived through a few New Years of their own, and the dancing doesn’t stop when the clock hits midnight.
